For the past eight years, Matt Ernst has brought his tireless work ethic, diverse skillset, and sense of responsibility to all Schad’s projects. He takes pride in the jobs he works on and is willing to do whatever it takes for the team to be successful

Matt loves the challenges that come with taking on different jobs and enjoys working with other Schad employees. “[They] are good people,” he says. “It’s kind of like a family but more like a step-family sometimes!”
Matt always conducts himself in a way that fulfills both Schad and its customers’ expectations. His hard work, his commitment to safety and his constant reliability is why Schad is honoring Matt as November’s Employee of the Month.

1. What do you like most about working at Schad?
The variety of things that we get to do and the different jobs and challenges.
2. How has Schad helped your career development, and what are your future career goals?
Schad has given me an opportunity. My future goal is to continue working long term for Schad and make more money.
3. How would you describe the Schad culture?
Kind of like a family but more like a step-family sometimes!
4. What do you like to do outside of work?
Spending time with the family, hunting, fishing, and building things.
5. What is something unique about you?
I am good at wood working.
6. If you could go to one concert, past or present, which would it be?
Kid Rock
7. If given the chance, who would you like to be for a day?
Myself but with more money.
8. What advice do you have for future Schad candidates?
Keep your mouth shut, pay attention, and work hard.
