We are currently performing a full line of refractory services for integrated mills, mini mills and foundries throughout the United States. This regularly includes iron and steel refractory clients in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois; and has included clients across the country including Texas, Colorado and Arizona.
Throughout the company’s 80+ years in the industry, Schad has completed thousands of iron and steel refractory projects. These projects have ranged from as small as off-site turnkey projects including relining tilt runners, spare doors and runner covers; to large-scale projects including full re-lines of walking beam and pusher style reheat furnaces, rotary hearth furnaces and induction furnaces.

- In March 2018, a Tennessee Iron Foundry presented us with a unique problem. They didn’t need help installing or repairing a furnace, they needed one taken out. Read more about this project here.

- In June 2017, Schad reconditioned a reheat furnace at an integrated steel mill in Ohio. The project was challenging because of an ambitious schedule, and the need for several trades. It also required work in various areas of the furnace. As a result, the project required a great deal of communication as well as a vast set of skills to complete. Read more about this project here.
