Greg Saucier has been with the Schad Refractory team since 1988. In that time, he has become a vital member of our team and continuously acts as a great example for all of his co-workers. As a great team player, Greg is willing to go anywhere and do any kind of work. Greg does not complain when things get tough and project demands are high. He does what it takes to complete projects above customers’ and management’s expectations.
Greg is a very skilled craftsman. He is innovative and always looking for a better (safer, higher quality, more efficient) way to perform a task. Schad employees of all levels can learn from him. He is very well rounded and is talented at all types of refractory installations including brick, monolithic and ceramic fiber constructions. He consistently demonstrates a high level of commitment to the Schad team, and we’re pleased to have worked with him for so many years.

The diversity of projects.
What is your favorite part about your job?
It is always changing whether it be new places we go or new technology in materials and design
How has Schad helped your career development, and what are your future career goals?
I started with Schad as a mechanic/truck driver. Started my apprenticeship October of 1988, planning on continuing on as a bricklayer.
How would you describe the Schad culture?
We continue to teach and learn from each other, striving to do the best we can to be an industry leader.
What is your fondest memory of working at Schad?
I have many fond memories of people I worked with both years ago and present.
What advice do you have for future Schad candidates?
My best advice is to be attentive of what’s going on around you and learn what you can from everyone you can.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Mostly warm weather outdoor activities fishing, boating, vacationing, exploring new places and different activities.
