Throughout the skilled trades, there is no shortage of familial ties. Fathers and sons, cousins, and often, brothers. The Saucier brothers, Greg and Jimmy, are not only great friends, but they are great tradesmen. Each is committed to doing whatever it takes to see projects through, look out for the safety of their fellow tradesmen, teach those willing to learn, and have a little bit of fun along the way. Schad would like to thank the Saucier’s for their years of service to the company and their commitment to the craft.

3. Who at Schad has taught you the most?

Greg: There were many, but to name a few, Phil Raymond, Larry Trainor, Larry Miller, John Fairbanks, and Mike Deberry, but even the greenest guy on the job could have a great idea. Never stop learning and adapting to the times.

Jim: I have learned from a lot of different people over the years, but I would have to say George Kitto has taught me the most.

4. What do you think contributes most to a safe work environment?

Greg: 1. Communication – 2. Orderly job sites eliminate trip hazards and unnecessary obstacles if possible – 3. Awareness, pay attention to what is going on.

6. What advice do you have for future Schad candidates?

Greg: Pay attention to what’s going on around you. Watch and learn from how others do things and adapt to the style that suits you best. No two people do things exactly the same.

Jim: Ask a lot of questions and pay attention. You are surrounded by a lot of great people.

7. What do you like to do outside of work?

Greg: Visit new places, riding, boating, fishing, golf.

10. What has it been like working with your brothers?

Greg: Working with my brothers has been a blessing. I get to see them more often than the typical holidays and family events. Getting to see how talented they are makes me proud to call them my brothers.

Jim: Are you kidding?! I love those guys, no matter if everything is going smooth or nothing seems to be going right. Those two are the absolute best to have on your side.
