Tyler has been an important asset to our team for many years and has just recently agreed to take over the role of Warehouse Manager in Detroit where he is growing his career at Schad. He is doing a great job of training and mentoring those around him in order to help make Schad a better organization. Tyler has really grown as a person and an employee.

1. How long have you worked with Schad?
I have worked for Schad for 5 years.

2. What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part would be my new position and being more of a leader and teacher to the guys I work with as well as growing and learning more myself with project managers.

3. Who at Schad has taught you the most?
Gary bright has taught me the most in my tenure at Schad. His experience and knowledge of being here for 40 years is unmatched compared to anyone.

4. What do you think contributes most to a safe work environment?
I believe having a new safety director – Brad Shoff will greatly contribute. Having him do more walkthroughs and audits in his position and showing all the guys how to be safer and ideas to improve things to our shop is great.

5. What lessons have you learned while working at Schad?
I have learned that anything can happen at any moment whether it’s last second emergency jobs or ways to improve how we do things, you need to have a good team around you who are willing to voice opinions and strategize to make sure everything gets done the safe and right way.

6. What advice do you have for future Schad candidates?
Wake up, go to work, be the best you can be and be a leader and want to better yourself and the people around you.

7. What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to play outside with my dogs and do projects on my house as well as spending time with my fiancé and friends.

8. If you could learn anything, what would it be?
I would like to learn more about what the project managers do from scoping out new work, bidding jobs, creating a plan, and doing the jobs.

9. If you could go to one concert, past or present, which would it be?
If I could go to a concert past or present, I wouldn’t really have a preference just looking to drink and have a good time.

10. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Go to Ross and invest in Schad and help it grow even more as a company and hopefully get myself a nice office to sit in so I can start keeping my clothes cleaner.
